  1. The QuickRun menu is really a program manager.  You can add items and groups 
  2. to the menu.  Items are executable files, and groups contain items.  Items 
  3. and groups can be deleted or edited.  To launch items, just click on them.

  5. For example, if you want to group all the games on your harddrive and access 
  6. them from the QuickRun menu, follow these steps:  1) Choose 'Configure...' 
  7. from the QuickRun menu.  2) Select 'Add group'.  3) Type in the name of the
  8. group, in this case - 'Games'.  4) Now, look at the QuickRun menu and you will
  9. see the word 'Games' added to the list.  To the left of the name is a diamond
  10. symbol signifying a group instead of an item.  Now click on the 'Games group' 
  11. and the QuickRun menu heading changes to 'Games'.  5) Add games to the group
  12. by left-clicking on their executable filenames and selecting 'Add to 
  13. QuickRun'.  You will be prompted for a name for this item and any parameters
  14. you wish to add.  If you place a '&[*.*]' on the parameter line, you
  15. are telling Desk+Plus to run the Browse utility for you to select a file to 
  16. insert between the brackets. (i.e. '/l &[*.BAS]' will invoke the Browse 
  17. utility.  You will be able to navigate directories, but only files with an
  18. extension of .BAS will be shown.  You can choose one of these and click on
  19. OK or click on CANCEL to quit browsing and return to Desk+Plus).
